Get Involved! - Expo and Workshop Connects Students and Teachers with Industry
The Metropolitan Education Commission (MEC) of Tucson is looking for presenters,
exhibitors, sponsors, and raffle prizes for the
11th Annual Key To Employment for the 21st Century (Key2e) Industry, Technology and Career Workshop and Expo.
On January 29, 2009 this premier event will connect 1000 Southern Arizona high school students, and 100 teachers, to technology and 21st Century industries in Arizona. This event is just one of the Key2e initiatives now being planned (see the web site) to inspire students to pursue a course of study that will prepare them for college and rewarding science, technology, and 21st Century Careers.
Here is what students will experience at this awesome Key2e event:
Industry and career information and resource materials, interactive Industry Theaters (Workshops), hands-on exhibits, a dynamic keynote presentation, lunch, raffle prizes and super prizes, and more.
College students, educators, researchers, engineers and other professionals working at the cutting edge of science, technology and industry will provide hands-on industry and technology demonstrations. They will engage students in exploring the hottest, high-paying careers in industries including Aerospace, Information Technology and eLearning, Media Arts, Environmental Technology, Optics, Bio Sciences, Nanotechnology, Engineering, Hospitality Management, Healthcare, Architecture/Construction, and more.
Students will also learn about the required education and skills for these careers. They will connect with colleges, trade schools and community organizations that provide opportunities to further their education and training.
